Acupuncture at Zen Practice — Restore balance in body & mind

Acupuncture
Restore the natural harmony between body & mind
Acupuncture is an ancient healing method within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). By stimulating specific meridian points with ultra-fine needles, the flow of Qi (life energy) is brought back into balance.
This supports both physical and emotional processes and helps your body activate its own natural healing abilities.

Why Acupuncture?

Body and mind are one — according to Traditional Chinese Medicine

A healthy body is a body in complete balance, both physically and emotionally.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), all processes within a person are interconnected.

Physical, emotional, and mental developments constantly influence each other.
Illness is therefore not seen as an isolated event but as a physical or emotional expression of a deeper imbalance in overall well-being.
This imbalance arises when the body’s energy system is disrupted.

By applying acupuncture needles, we help the body return to balance.
Even many emotional issues can be relieved or supported through acupuncture.

How does acupuncture work according to TCM?
According to TCM, good health depends on the smooth and harmonious flow of life energy (Qi).
Acupuncture points influence:

the flow of energy
the nervous system
blood circulation and muscle relaxation
the hormonal system
emotional balance
Through this, the body’s natural self-healing ability is activated, allowing body and mind to return to harmony and calm.

When is acupuncture the right choice for you?

Acupuncture can provide support with, among other things:
Stress, tension or burnout
Chronic fatigue or low energy
Headaches or migraines
Neck, shoulder and back pain
Sleep issues or restlessness
Digestive complaints
Hormonal imbalance
Emotional tension
Psychosomatic symptoms (see below)
Acupuncture often brings more relaxation, clarity and a renewed sense of balance between body and mind.

What to Expect During a Session
1. Intake & Diagnosis
During the first consultation, we discuss your symptoms, lifestyle and overall health. Using classical TCM diagnostics (including tongue and pulse assessment), we identify where the energy flow is disrupted.

2. The Treatment
Fine, sterile needles are placed on carefully selected acupuncture points. Most people feel almost nothing—sometimes a light tingling or warmth.
A phase of deep relaxation usually follows.

3. Aftercare & Recommendations
We go over what you may experience after the session and, if helpful, provide additional advice on lifestyle, breathing techniques or complementary treatments such as massage or hypnotherapy.

Psychosomatic Complaints

Psychosomatic complaints are physical symptoms that arise partly from stress, emotions or long-term inner tension. When body and mind fall out of balance, the body may express this through pain, fatigue or restlessness.

Acupuncture helps regulate this tension by calming the nervous system, restoring the flow of energy (Qi), and guiding the body back into a state of balance and relaxation.

Acupuncture may support:
– unexplained physical pain
– chronic muscle tension
– fatigue or irritability
– feeling overwhelmed or restless
– difficulty relaxing
– chest tightness or shallow breathing
– emotional overload
– stress-related physical symptoms

By addressing both the physical and emotional layers, acupuncture creates space for deep healing and inner calm.
