Magnesium Massage

Magnesium is a vital mineral present in every cell of the body. It plays an essential role in energy production, healthy muscle and nerve function, and maintaining strong bones. It also supports hundreds of enzyme processes and contributes to the natural production of hormones.
Around half of the body’s magnesium reserves are stored in the bones, together with calcium and phosphate.

What is magnesium?

Food is the primary source of magnesium.
It is naturally present in many foods, especially in nuts, grains and green vegetables such as purslane, spinach and peas. The body keeps magnesium levels in the blood, cells and bones tightly regulated by adjusting intestinal absorption and kidney excretion.

However, depending on dietary habits, a magnesium deficiency can easily develop. In Western diets this is increasingly common, partly due to long-term use of artificial fertilizers, which depletes the soil and reduces magnesium levels in our food.

A magnesium deficiency can cause a wide range of symptoms.
Fortunately, you can restore healthy magnesium levels in two ways:

  • Oral supplementation
Taking magnesium in tablets or capsules, allowing the mineral to be absorbed into the cells via the digestive system.
  • Magnesium massage
Magnesium is absorbed directly through the skin into the muscles, helping stiff, tense or painful muscles relax and recover.

Always check supplement labels.
Many commercial supplements contain fillers, anti-caking agents or coating agents — ingredients your body does not need. Magnesium oxide, often included, is hardly absorbed at all.

  • The magnesium I recommend comes from Magnesium Forever, containing only three high-quality forms:
Bisglycinate, Citrate and Glycerophosphate, enriched with L-Taurine, Spirulina, Chlorella and Vitamin B6 — nutrients that genuinely support the body.

Effects of a magnesium massage

Relaxation
Magnesium is absorbed through the skin directly into the interstitial tissue. It becomes active on a cellular level almost immediately, creating deep and profound relaxation.

Recovery
Magnesium supports muscle recovery. Cramps ease almost instantly, muscle soreness decreases and joint pain is noticeably relieved.

De-acidification
Magnesium promotes the removal of lactic acid from the muscles and supports the restoration of the body’s natural pH balance. This helps the body recover more quickly and efficiently.

The magnesium massage

How does the treatment work?
The area to be treated is first generously applied with magnesium gel. It is then covered with foil and wrapped in an infrared blanket.
While the warmth begins to work, you receive a gentle massage, allowing the magnesium to penetrate deeply into the muscles. After approximately 15 minutes, the blanket and foil are removed, and we continue the massage with magnesium.

Next, the magnesium is removed with a warm, moist towel, and the session is completed with a nourishing magnesium body cream or a finishing massage with oil. The heat makes the muscles more supple, greatly enhancing the effectiveness of the massage.

Total Body Packing
A full-body magnesium packing is also possible. In this treatment, the entire body is coated with magnesium gel, wrapped in foil, and placed inside a large infrared blanket.
After about 40 minutes, you are removed from the blanket and the foil is taken off. Using a warm, damp towel, we remove the excess magnesium. The treatment concludes with a massage. Because your body is already warm and relaxed, the massage becomes exceptionally effective.

Important notes
Before starting a full body packing, we assess your physical condition. Suitability depends on factors such as kidney function, blood pressure and heart function.
Avoid shaving your legs or armpits for two days before the treatment. Magnesium salts can cause stinging on freshly shaved skin.
